HENDERSON UPDATE 27/2/2020.

Since the ANZMI publication of the David Henderson matter, dozens of emails have been received that condemn Henderson’s offensive behaviour.

Below is an email received from the former owners of Lone Pine Medals, Mudgee, who are most concerned that their good name and reputation has been dragged through the mud by Henderson for his own selfish benefit.

“In relation to your latest fraudulent wearing of medals case: David Henderson

I am one of the “un named ladies”, who apparently told him he was entitled to wear the medals. . I state categorically that this statement is false.

Some background for you. - My wife and I were Gulgong RSL Sub Branch affiliate members (as ex police officers), and owners of a medal mounting and framing business.

Mr Henderson already had the US Army Commendation medal in his possession and asked should he have it on his rack. We advised him that if he was entitled to the medal, that he could wear it as it was approved for wear.

He then asked us to mount it on his rack.

Later he asked if we could mount his Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm. We had been advised by him earlier that he was filling out forms for this medal as he was entitled to it, and had been approved....thus the medal to be added to his rack.

As medal mounters, we can only do what a client requests. We are not required to prove their entitlement, and can only do what we are advised.

We were in possession of the book which you show a page from, and noting that his name wasn't in it, confronted him. He said it must be outdated.

He also stated to us at one time that being shot in the arse he should be entitled to the Purple Heart as well, and how can he get that.

We have always done everything we can to find out a clients eligibility. One example was a WWI set in which the soldier enlisted in 1916. thus only entitled to the BWM and Victory medal. We thoroughly researched the soldier through records, the AWM, and National Archives and confirmed his two medal entitlement. The client refused to believe his grandfather didn't get the trio, and we refused to supply him with same due to it being wrong.

We would never allow any person to wear medals not of their entitlement, as with David Henderson...we can only go on what he claimed as Vietnam entitlements are much harder to confirm.

Finally, we took our job very seriously, and had recommendations from many current serving members, and past members. We mounted sets for troops on deployment...for entire Ships companies....we prided ourselves on our work.

We may have moved to Canada, and sold the business to another party...but we do not like our work being dragged through the mud by a man who should know better.”

The above email is published with the expressed approval of the authors.

If the Secretary of the Gulgong RSL Sub Branch -;.
John Fielding RFD, JP
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret'd)
Secretary Gulgong RSL sub-Branch,

had taken his responsibilities seriously, and contacted the former Medal Shop owners, instead of defending the fraudulent behaviour of his President to ANZMI, he may have taken a different view. We will never know.

Henderson has been reported to the RSL NSW State Branch. An update will be published in the future regarding the action taken by that governing body.

The ANZMI site is riddled with military imposters, medal cheats and valour thieves, who hold or have held executive positions in Ex Service Organisations.

The message should be very clear to these false pretenders. You will appear on this site if you belong to one or more of the above three categories.

David Henderson was born in the United Kingdom on the 3 September, 1945. He enlisted in the Australian Regular Army and was subsequently posted to the Republic of South Vietnam on the 6 August 1969. On the 19 November, 1969, he was posted to 8 Battalion Royal Australian Regiment ( 8RAR) where he served as a Private in that Infantry Battalion until the 20 April, 1970. He then returned to Australia.

Henderson1

In the above photograph, Henderson is wearing the following medals.

1. Australian Active Service medal clasp Vietnam. (AASM) Entitled.
2. Vietnam Medal. Entitled.
3. Australian Defence Medal. (ADM) Entitled.
4. Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal (RVCM) Entitled.
5. United States Army Commendation Medal for heroism or meritorious achievement.. Not entitled.
6. Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm. Not entitled.

Henderson is the President of the Gulgong Returned and Services League (R&SL) Sub Branch in mid-west New South Wales. A respectable position.

Henderson, though is a medal cheat, a valour thief and a big noter.

Henderson2

He is not entitled to wear the US Army Commendation Medal. He has purchased and awarded this medal to himself.

Henderson3

Criteria: The Army Commendation Medal is awarded to any member of the Armed Forces of the United States other than General Officers who, while serving in any capacity with the Army after 6 December 1941, distinguished himself by heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service. Award may be made to a member of the Armed Forces of a friendly foreign nation who, after 1 June 1962, distinguishes himself by an act of heroism, extraordinary achievement, or meritorious service which has been of mutual benefit to a friendly nation and the United States.

Henderson is not entitled to wear the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm. He has also purchased this medal and awarded it to himself.

Henderson4

Degrees

The Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross was awarded in four degrees, with a basic medal followed by higher degrees which were the equivalent of personal citations on an organizational level (also known as having been "Mentioned in dispatches").

The degrees of the Gallantry Cross are as follows:
Gallantry Cross with Palm: cited at the Armed Forces level
• Gallantry Cross with Gold Star: cited at the Corps level
• Gallantry Cross with Silver Star: cited at the Division level
• Gallantry Cross with Bronze Star: cited at the Regiment or Brigade level.

You will notice that Henderson claims that he was awarded the highest degree of this gallantry medal by the former Republic of Vietnam Government. (bolded).

Henderson served in 8RAR in Vietnam from November, 1969 until April, 1970 when he returned to Australia. During that time, the Battalion was engaged in heavy fighting with the enemy at the Long Hai Hills during Operation Hammersley. The Vietnam Government bestowed the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation for their actions in that battle, that occurred between the 10 February and the 9 March, 1970.

One 8RAR soldier was awarded the Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal with Palm during their deployment. It was not Private David Henderson. In the below comprehensive official list, he does not get a mention in the Battalions honours for that tour of duty.

Henderson5

Henderson is entitled to wear the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit citation, but not the individual Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Medal with Palm. There is a distinguished difference between the two. Citation depicted below -;

Henderson6

He has been warned by former colleagues of the 8RAR Association on several occasions, and also the Vietnam Veterans Federation of Australia, that he has no entitlement to the two offending medals in question, and that he should remove them from his rack. He has told some former 8 RAR colleagues, that he was awarded the medals when he was with 9 Battalion RAR, prior to his posting to 8 Battalion RAR in November, 1969. That statement is false. He was never awarded either medal at any time by any official source. He has defied the advice of former 8RAR colleagues to get the medals off, with total disrespect to all Australian soldiers, who have been officially awarded both medals.

Arrogance perhaps, vanity, or both!

Henderson has been the President of the Gulgong RSL Sub Branch for the past 26 years. He should lead by example and not wear medals that he has purchased and awarded to himself.

Henderson was contacted by a Researcher and given an opportunity to provide an explanation to wearing purchased medals. The Secretary, on his behalf, replied and stated in writing inter alia -;

“Please be advised that the wearing of these medals was done in good faith by Mr Henderson having previously been given false guidance by professional individuals.

He has subsequently realised that he is not entitled to the two medals you have mentioned and has removed them from his rack. He is embarrassed and upset that this has occurred.

He has proudly served as President of the Gulgong RSL sub-Branch for 26 consecutive years and was only led to believe he was entitled to wear those medals in recent years”.

When questioned by one former 8RAR member, Henderson stated that local medal experts told him he was entitled to the two medals. They were allegedly two Sub Branch ladies. Henderson then filled out the required forms, the ladies sent them away and presto, the two medals arrived in the mail and were court mounted with his genuine medals. The ladies, according to Henderson, cannot be contacted now, as they both moved to Canada.

Henderson would know as well as every other former Australian Army Vietnam veteran, that you do not receive a U.S Government heroism medal and a Vietnam Government Gallantry Medal by sending away for them. He purchased them at a Medal Dealers Shop or on ebay.

Henderson is a fraud and he knows it. He has been told to remove them on at least two occasions, he ignored that advice, and now that ANZMI is making inquiries, he produces the “false guidance” excuse.

As a false pretender, he should resign or be kicked out of the NSW RSL immediately. The NSW RSL has enough ongoing problems at the moment without medal cheats and valour thieves like Henderson holding the Executive position of Sub Branch President, within the organisation.

ANZMI has not been provided any evidence that Henderson has removed the offending medals.

There is no excuse Mr Henderson, get rid of the un-awarded medals and resign your post.

Surname: O'Loughlan
Christian Names: Douglas Craig
Country: USA
State or Province: Now Minnasota
City or Town: Previously Bright
Service #: 3206175
Service: Army Reserve
Case Notes:

Douglas Craig O'Loughlan born 24 Jan 1964, was the President of the Bright, Victoria, Returned and Services League (RSL) until people realised he was not sufficiently bright enough to handle the job at Bright.

OLoughlan-1 2014-01-31

O'Loughlan has no entitlement to wear any Defence Medals or Badges and no entitlement to wear the coveted Sherwood Green Commando Beret .

He is the epitome of a liar cheat and wannabe. We can also add scoundrel to the list as he skipped from Bright owing lots of money.

Below is his version of his military service that he entered on the website ancesty.com:

OLoughlan-2 2014-01-31

OLoughlan-3 2014-01-31

Notice he describes himself as a Special Forces Lieutenant who served in Somalia, Timor Leste and Afghanistan and his Defence Service was from 1987 to 2007. He then lists some of the medals he is wearing in the photograph, these are:

Australian Active Service Medal

Australian Service Medal

United Nations Timor Medal

Long Service Medal

Humanitarian Medal

The photograph also shows he is wearing the coveted Infantry Combat Badge (ICB) and what could be a Returned from Active Service Badge (RASB).

The truth of his Defence Service is vastly different from what he claims. He served for a short time as a part time Private Soldier in the Royal Victorian Regiment (RVR) and was discharged in 1990. On the 1 October 2009 he was appointed Lieutenant, as an Officer of Cadets. This appointment is for training volunteer juveniles at suburban Cadet venues. His Commission has no standing in the Defence Force.

Obviously he connived his appointment as Lieutenant for the purpose of having some "Rank", however after he was commissioned he did no volunteer work at all with any Cadet unit. The situation was recognised by Cadet Headquarters and on the 21 June 2011 his Cadet Commission was revoked, and he was discharged. In recognition for doing nothing, the discharge was backdated to the same day he was appointed, that being 1 October 2009. So in fact he was officially a Cadets officer for only a few minutes.

He departed Bright to marry in Minnesota USA, where he appears to have settled. We are reliably informed that he wore the fake Dress Uniform of an Australian Army Officer complete with the Medals, Badges and Sherwood Green Commando Beret, at his wedding.

We anticipate that O'Loughlan will return to Australia for his Fiftieth birthday which also coincides with a family marriage. We have timed the release of this exposure for when he is back in Australia. This will allow the media and perhaps the Police to have a "talk" to him

Genuine Veterans are nonplussed at the plethora of RSL Presidents from Victoria who have been exposed by ANZMI.

Is it a combination of a lack of diligence by the Victoria RSL, and that members of individual RSLs simply don't care?   Like many RSL Sub Branches throughout Australia, Bright is now controlled by Affiliate Members who have never served in the Defence Force. This is an incongruous situation that must be rectified.

Our once influential and outspoken RSL has degenerated to the point where Affiliate members have full voting rights to pass any motion. In recent times at Bright, the Affiliate members pushed to close down the Bright RSL and amalgamate with the local Senior Citizens Club.

It is bizarre that motions put to Sub Branch meetings can be won or lost on the vote of Affiliate members who care nothing for the true spirit of the RSL. Our departed RSL veterans of World War 1 and World War 2 would be horrified to know what has become of the Returned Services League they established and protected for their returned war veteran members. Particularly, in Bright, Victoria.

Liars, cheats and wannabes like O'Loughlan exist, because any person who wants to "big note" themselves, can falsely claim to be a Veteran, and have Affiliate members, vote them in.

In Victoria, within the past Twelve months this is the third liar, fraud and wannabe who has attained the position of President in their RSL.

We will ensure that our associates in the United States are well aware of O'Loughlan and do not allow him to in anyway to misrepresent himself as a Commissioned Officer and Returned Australian Veteran.

O'Loughlan is a psychopathic liar who deserves his place on this web site where the world can read about him.

O'Loughlan Update

We are aware that changes have been made at the Bright RSL. There is a new Committee consisting of mainly ex Service members. Affiliate members who have never served in the Defence Force, can no longer control or subvert the Sub Branch from its core business.

A person named "Craig" has communicated with us on behalf of O'Loughlan, we are aware that it is O'Loughlan himself. Here is what he has said. It is presented as written:

"Hello, its craig. Sorry, but my phone wont allow all the data i have to send, so am using the wifes computer.

Firstly, i have known doug for many years, and i honestly believe that a great deal of the information on your site is wrong.

1/ The beret and medals he was wearing were in recognition of his deceased cousin, Brett Wood, KIA Afghanista , 22 may 2011. Albeit he had the medals on the wrong side, he has never publicly declared himself a veteran. He was proud of his short time in the reserves, and was looking at becoming a permanant member, but work took him away from any nearby units. He also did over 2 yrs as a cadet officer, and was paid as such, so a lot of misinformation on your postin regards to that.

2/ as for him returning to australia for a birthday and wedding, that is not happening due to workcommitments he has as a driver in the USA.

3/ When i contacted him in regards to his profile on your site, and explained what was stated on there, he informs me that he has never had a site on ancestry, and that his account was compromised some time ago by a zealous ex partner. He is checking with that site to confirm.

4/ As far as the bright rsl, i dont know a lot, but he has informed me that he was pressured from the start from the then president, and from veterans to become an office bearer and help straighten out a lot of inhouse problems. I know he began as secretary.

5/ As far as the information about his personal kife in bright, and financials, that should remain unposted. The business he was running was in the process of being sold, that is why he and his wife moved to her hometown to semi retire. I believe that the sale fell through, and was in the hands of legal representatives.

6/ Although i have known this man as a friend for 12 yrs, i honestly believe that there were several mistakes, misunderstandings and pressures from unmentioned parties that place a lot of negative falsities upon this claim. I have never seen him wear any medals to any anzac day ceremonies, and he attended every year out of respect. I also must say that bringing a persons personal life into a situation such as this, when there has been no conclusive prof, and a lot of heresay, is very demeaning, and a subject of defamation of character and slander.

I know that you are doing a service to the veteran community, but sometimes, people just make an honest mistake, and i honestly believe that is what has happened here, he wore a beret and medals in utterrespect for a dead relative veteran, and is being persecuted to the tenth degree for it. Please , i urge you to take down his post, he is in no way an imposter." Much of what O'Loughlan has said is easily refuted, for instance:

"1/ The beret and medals he was wearing were in recognition of his deceased cousin, Brett Wood, KIA Afghanista"

At the Bright RSL, time and time again O'Loughlan claimed to be a Returned Veteran. At no time did he speak of any of his medals being worn in honour of a deceased relative. On occasion, with false pride, he went through each and every one of them without mention that they were not his own.

"he informs me that he has never had a site on ancestry, and that his account was compromised some time ago by a zealous ex partner".

He acknowledged, the information at the Ancestry site in his speech to the members of the Bright RSL at the Annual General Meeting immediately prior to the Election of Office bearers.

"I also must say that bringing a persons personal life into a situation such as this, when there has been no conclusive prof, and a lot of heresay, is very demeaning, and a subject of defamation of character and slander."

We have all the proof necessary and invite O'Loughlan to go ahead and make a case. Our defence will be that all that we have said is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, and in support of the truth, is another photograph of O'Loughlan. This time showing his less than trim carcass hanging out of a Army Polyester Uniform.

OLoughlan 4

He is again wearing medals that he has not earned, and the rank of Lieutenant that he has no right to wear. The photo is not very clear and we cannot say for sure that he is wearing an Infantry Combat Badge (ICB) that indicates that he has been deployed on Active Service with an Infantry Unit. He also appears to be wearing the silver Steyr Rifle badge on his right breast which is worn by individuals who meet all the criterion for readiness to be deployed on operational service.

Oloughlan-5

OLoughlan-6

He has no right or reason to wear either of the badges, and even if he were a real soldier, his fat gut would preclude any kind of active service.

Notice he is again wearing a brace of false medals on his left breast. O'Loughlan epitomises the reason for our existence.
We have advised all ex Service organisations in the USA to keep a watch for O'Loughlan.

He is the consummate low down liar from down under.

At ANZMI, it gives us pleasure to expose long term military imposters, who have gained considerable kudos and public recognition, for many years from close friends, workmates, family and the media. Their deceit has also seen advancement to higher work positions above others, who are generally more deserving, and who have greater credibility and honesty.

When your world comes crashing down after years of being a military fraud and false pretender, you only have yourself to blame.

Stealing the honour of those military personnel who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice is a low act. To steal the honour of Australian Army Nurses, many of whom returned with mental health issues, is also a low act.

Erin Wallace is a Military Fraud, an Honour Thief and a Medal Cheat. You can also throw in liar.

For many years her deceitful conduct has convinced those close to her that she is a bemedalled Vietnam War Veteran, who served in the Australian Army as a Nurse.

Wallace is 69 years of age. She is currently the Gippsland Regional Manager for St John Ambulance, and resides in Cranbourne, Melbourne, Victoria. She has held this position for 5 years.

Over recent years, her medal rack has grown as displayed below.

WallaceErin1

Photograph above taken in 2016, she wears the Vietnam Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Notice she is missing the Australian Active Service Medal (AASM Proclaimed in December 1997) and the Australian Defence Medal. (ADM Proclaimed 20 March, 2006.)

WallaceErin1AB

More recent photograph since 2016. She now wears the AASM as well as the ADM with the original two medals.

Only 43 Australian Army Nursing Sisters served in South Vietnam between 1967 to 1971. The youngest Nursing Sister was 22 and the eldest was 45 years of age. Their ranks ranged from Lieutenants to Majors. They had a tough job.

The last Australian Army Nurses to leave South Vietnam did so in November, 1971 when the Australian Field Hospital closed. The last Australian troops, 4 RAR, left on the 7 November, 1971.

Nursing Sisters did not complete normal Officer Training at that time. Many were "Direct Entry" from being a qualified practicing civilian Nursing sister to be an Army Commissioned Officer. After being commissioned, they completed an orientation course at School of Army Health, Healsville Victoria, and would have gained experience in an Army hospital in Australia or Concord Repatriation Hospital, Sydney, before deployment to South Vietnam.

For Wallace to have served at the youngest age of 22 years as a qualified Sister and Lieutenant, in the last year of Australia’s involvement ( ie.1971), she would have to now attained the age of 71 years plus. (at 2021) As she is 69 years of age, her time line is out at least two years at the very minimum.

The above screenshots are from a St John Facebook video Wallace made to publicise and self promote her alleged Vietnam service and other achievements. She claims that she was an Army Nurse who returned from Vietnam to the Darwin Docks, where she was met and was impressed by St John Ambulance people, who gave her cups of tea and vegemite sandwiches.

That statement is also a lie. No Australian Army Nurses returned home by ship.

You will notice that she now wears the following medals -;

www.facebook.com/stjohnvic/videos/2124384304358108

1.The Officer of the Order of St John Medal. Top row.
2.Australian Active Service Medal. (AASM) Not entitled. Top row.
3.Vietnam Medal. Not entitled. bottom row.
4.Australian Defence Medal. (ADM) Not entitled. bottom row.
5. The Service Medal of the Order of St John bottom row.
6.Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. (RVCM) 180 days in country. Not entitled. bottom row.

Wallace’s name does not appear on the DVA Vietnam Nominal Roll as having served in South Vietnam in the Australian Army. Also taking into account maiden names, only two persons with first names Erin served in the Australian Army in South Vietnam. She is not one of them. Her name also does not appear on the List of Australian Army Nurses that served in South Vietnam between 1967 and 1971.

Wallace was contacted by email at St John Ambulance, Victoria and given an opportunity to respond to information received that she is not entitled to wear the above medals or was not an Army Nurse as she has claimed. She was also requested to provide the following information -;

1. Proof of Australian Defence Force medal entitlement.
2. Her service number, Unit, and rank.
3. Date of commencement of Army service.
4. Date of completion of Army service.
5. Date she deployed to South Vietnam as an Army Sister and Lieutenant.
6. Date she returned to Australia.

She has not responded and we do not expect a reply.

Wallace is an Affiliate member of the Dandenong RSL Sub Branch, Victoria, due to a relative being a service person. She is also a Social member of the Leongatha RSL Sub Branch, Victoria.

If she was a returned veteran, Wallace would be a full member of Dandenong RSL Sub Branch and not an Affiliate Member.

Wallace is a high flyer in the Victorian St John Ambulance. She has received many accolades over the years.

St John Victoria was contacted and informed that Wallace was a Military Imposter who has committed offences against the Defence Act 1900.

Section 80A. Falsely representing to be returned soldier, sailor or airman
Section 80B.Improper use of service decorations
Penalty - $3,300 dollars fine or six months imprisonment or both.

Former and current Returned Veterans of the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces will not stand by and observe valour thieves and imposters benefit from fraudulent claims of military service.

The Victorian Police have been notified and hopefully will take action against Wallace for her fraudulent behaviour. It may well be that Wallace has committed further criminal offences of “Obtaining benefit by deception” and “False pretences”, in regards to her behaviour.

St John Ambulance, Victoria would be well advised to check her curriculum vitae to ensure that all her documented claims are truthful and accurate. Particularly, her Vietnam service background as an Army Nursing Sister and Officer.

RSL Victoria should also give Wallace the boot from their organisation.

An update for Ms Erin Wallace will be provided as this matter progresses.

Another St John Ambulance Valour Thief and Medal Cheat offender was Christopher Chant. See below.

anzmi.net/index.php/cheats-thieves/valour-thieves/472-chant

Chant resigned from his Executive position due to the ANZMI investigation. Wallace should do the same or be sacked immediately.

St John Ambulance Australia, is a well respected organisation. It needs well respected personnel to carry out their objectives.

Welcome to ANZMI, Military Imposter, Medal Cheat and Valour Thief, Erin Wallace.

UPDATE: Mark TULL - OCTOBER 2020

Tull now reigns supreme over the RSL name in Southport Queensland.

His propensity to "dress up" with false medals and badges is legendary, and his latest effort is to wear two strange badges immediately above his two peace time awards.

Tull m1

Mark Tull is no longer a member of the Southport Returned and Services League (RSL) Sub Branch . He resigned just before he was to be arraigned before the committee, to explain his wearing a Returned from Active Service Badge (RASB).

Tull m2

He is now the President of the RSL Club, Southport. Except for the RSL name, the RSL Club Southport has no affiliation with the RSL Sub Branch Southport. In fact Tull and his club conspirators, had the RSL Sub Branch ejected from the building.

A Tull co conspirator, is Mr Lawrie Pollard who is also listed on this website: www.anzmi.net/index.php/cheats-thieves/506-pollard

Like Tull, Pollard resigned from the RSL Sub Branch, before disciplinary action could be taken regarding his wearing of false medals. He, like Tull is now very much ensconced as an RSL Club committee member.

Below is a series of Tull photographs, displaying his propensity to seek false prestige, by wearing false medals and badges. Almost hidden under his lapel, in the photo below is a National medal. The photograph was taken in 2014. Tull was not awarded the National Medal for civilian service, until 11 August 2018

Mark TULL of Southport RSL, Queensland, is wearing three medals-;  the Australian Defence Medal, which he is entitled to wear, and two other medals he is not entitled to wear.  These are the fake Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee Medal and the New South Wales Police Medal. He served only 8 years and not the 10 years required by the NSW Police.

Fake QE2 Golden Jubilee Medal

Official QE2 Golden Jubilee Medal

28th Mar 2013

Thanks to one of our readers, a retired New South Wales Police Officer, we have received further information about the NSW Police Service Medal that Tull is wearing on the wrong side that he is no entitlement to wear.

Mark TULL is wearing a device that is worn on three higher medals in the NSW Police. The highest of the three is the Commissioner’s Commendation for Courage.

The NSW Police Service Medal only has a bar on it. All NSW Police medals are State awards and should be worn on the right breast.

On the right breast we assume that TULL is wearing deceased Next of Kin medals from two World Wars, but above those medals he is wearing the New Zealand Compulsory Military Training Medal 1949-58 Commemorative Medal.

Mark TULL,  again you show no respect to either the police officers you served with by placing a device on a medal that you are not entitled to, but on higher awards which in some cases are awarded posthumously to police officers who have died in the line of duty.

Further, you discredit the servicemen who earned those medals in two World Wars by placing an unofficial TIN medal above the recipients of those medals who fought to keep the world free and bring peace to the world. We suggest you remove that medal completely, or if you wish to wear it,  place it where it belongs below those medals.  We also suggest you read up on the protocols of wearing medals.

Update 3 Nov 2013

Over the last few years there have been ructions in Queensland, Returned Services League (RSL). Perhaps this is a harbinger of things to come, as non Veterans, Associates and Affiliates jostle for  control of  RSLs.  Tull has no concept of medals protocol and blithely admits to wearing whatever he wishes, whenever he wishes. When he wrote his ridiculous response to ANZMI (see below) he was a "jostler" seeking high positions in the Southport RSL. He has since been appointed Secretary, of the Southport RSL Sub Branch.

Stupidity succeeds when ignorance and malaise is allowed to prevail. God help the Queensland RSL.

Here is what Tull has to say about featuring on this web site:

Tull-8

Tull-10

Tull-9

We condemn the membership of the Southport RSL for allowing this medals cheat to be elected to a leadership position. Medals protocol was promulgated by the Queensland RSL during 2012, as follows:

Qld RSL republished a feature in the “Qld RSL News” from the South Australian RSL booklet “The Signal”, written by Keith Harrison, see excerpt below:

“Ideally, unofficial medals should not be worn. However if they are worn as the occasion demands, they may be worn on the right breast.

Here is the official policy from the Department of Honours and Awards, Canberra.

“Unofficial medals:

Ex-service organisations sometimes commission their own unofficial medals to mark participation in particular military campaigns, periods of service or types of service that have not been recognised through the Australian honours system. Awards made by foreign governments which have not been approved by the Governor-General for acceptance and wear,  are also "unofficial". There is no impediment to wearing such medals in appropriate private settings, such as a meeting of the relevant ex-service association, or a reception hosted by the relevant foreign government. Ideally, unofficial medals should not be worn at public ceremonial and commemorative events, but if they are worn as the occasion demands, the convention is that they are worn on the right breast.

Q14. How do I wear my state awards?

A14. State awards are worn on the right breast because only national awards in the
Order of Wearing Australian Honours and Awards  are worn on the left breast.”

Despite written policies and protocols, Tull has the audacity to admit, the NSW State Police medal he wears was not awarded to him, and also states that one of the medals he is wearing on his right hand side is a tin medal that belonged to his wife's, mothers New Zealand husband.

Tull is obviously a person who dearly wants to be seen as a much decorated returned Veteran and so wears lots of false bling to give that impression to the unsuspecting public.

Another member of that RSL was appointed as Treasurer and he also appears on our website.

http://www.anzmi.net/index.php/component/sobipro/?pid=62&sid=373:Boese

ANZMI is a messenger, we have no affiliation with any ex Service, or any other organisation, and we proceed without fear or favour to expose those who thumb their noses at ANZAC traditions that have been put in place by those who have actually gone to war on behalf of this Nation.

In recent times, as ex Service organisations lose their core membership of Veterans,  they also lose their traditions and values, because of people like Tull who thrive on wearing and flaunting unearned "bling".

It behoves the upper echelons of ex Service organizations to ensure that ANZAC traditions and protocols are carefully preserved.

Tull is a self confessed medals cheat, who thumbs his nose at protocols and traditions. He  now holds a senior executive position at the Southport RSL. Although the RSL's integrity is diminishing, ours never will.  Wherever Popinjays like Tull appear,  we will expose them for what they are.

UPDATED 4th APRIL 2014

It seems that since our initial exposure of Mark TULL wearing medals that he has no entitlement to, things have happened at the Southport RSL Sub Branch, as explained on their website.

19th March - The elected Secretary Mark Tull resigned from his role as Honorary Secretary after 12 months in the job, and as a Board Member. He has been asked to continue to hold the roles of Membership Officer and Editor of the website and the quarterly newsletter and general volunteer.

subbranch.southportrsl.com.au/good-stuff/new-secretary/

Let us hope that as the Membership Secretary, TULL displays the appropriate level of due diligence, but given his past record as a medal cheat, we can only wonder what will happen. At the very least, one Sub Branch Executive position has been cleared of a medal cheat.

His verbal verbosity knows no bounds it seems, nor will he let the truth stand in the way of a good story. Rather than simply admit he was wrong, TULL decided to launch into an attack on ANZMI via his website in the desperate hope that all of his followers would be hoodwinked into believing his version of the truth.

Since he appeared on our site, Mark TULL has generated considerable correspondence from serving and former Police Officers who have collectively shot holes in his defence as he recorded on his website:

tull.net.au/uncategorized/mark-tull-medals/

It is important that the truth be aired, and clearly Mark TULL is not prepared to do it so we have examined his justification for his actions and the responses by former and serving police officers and no doubt the reader will not be left wondering where the truth really lies.

TULL States:

Now on the left, as they say, ADM is fine, the Queens Golden Jubilee is my commemorative, but I don’t wear it with my dead relations on the right. I was a JP in NSW for 25 years, Ex Copper, NSW Firey, SES, SES, Qld Firey, Coast Guard and Hon. Ranger since I guarded the Queen on her Silver Jubilee visit to Sydney in 1977 when I was a Police Cadet. Love her and respect her. Big deal medal boys….

The FACTS:

Police Cadets DID NOT guard the Queen in 1977 (or ever). Cadets joined the NSW Police between the ages of 15 and 18 years. They were not sworn officers, they were not armed, they had no power of arrest and were merely secretarial staff, learning short hand. They were sometimes allowed to work the switchboard while they practiced their shorthand to achieve speeds of 100 to 120 words a minute. On special occasions they were allowed to work school foot crossings.

Being a JP (Justice of the Peace)in NSW for 25 years is not in itself a significant achievement. What is more concerning is that as a resident of QLD, he should no longer be using his NSW JP status in any way, shape or form. To do so is illegal, so let us hope that the JP title was dropped when he became a resident in Qld.

TULL States:

Now the Police Medal is My dead best mate Paul Quinn, murdered at the Easter Bike races in Bathurst in 1985 and I helped bury him. I bought a copy and wore it (on the left) which they should be on the right, if they are yours because it’s a state issued medal. Quinny was promoted Sergeant posthumously from Con 1/c at his death, and he never made his 10 years, but I reckoned he deserved it. This medal is going to be placed at the National Police Remembrance Wall this year (2013) on the plaque that has Quinny’s name on it when I attend with the Wall to Wall ride with about 1200 other serving and ex coppers. PS, I spent a fair bit of effort with a mate on Sydney radio and the state government a few years ago ensuring the murdering bastard that killed Paul stayed behind bars and was not paroled.

The FACTS:

Of all his verbal diarrhora, this is perhaps the most offensive and insensitive of the comments made by TULL. The fact is that Constable 1/C Quinn was murdered in 1986, not 1985 as stated by TULL. He was not murdered at the Easter Bike races. The correct circumstances of Constable Quinn’s murder are:

‘…Late in the afternoon of 30 March 1986 Constable 1st Class Quinn was involved in the high speed pursuit of a vehicle from South Bathurst towards Perthville. At Perthville the offender Horan lost control of the vehicle and collided with the approach railing of a bridge at the intersection of Bridge Street. The offender then leapt from the vehicle with a .303 rifle and began to fire at the Police who had been chasing him. Constable Quinn was hit in the neck and killed instantly whilst Constable Ian Borland was also seriously wounded in the incident. The offender was shot several times by Police and was later charged with a number of serious offences. Fortunately Constable Borland recovered from his injuries. Constable Quinn was posthumously promoted to Sergeant 3rd Class…’

TULL has used this tragic event to his own ends. Not only has he incorrectly reported the date and circumstances of the incident, he has tried to suggest that he is some sort of ‘white knight’ regarding the NSW Police Medal.

If as he says, he purchased the NSW Police Medal to be "placed at the National Police Remembrance Wall this year (2013) on the plaque that has Quinny’s name on it when I attend with the Wall to Wall ride with about 1200 other serving and ex coppers", WHY, Mr. TULL, DID YOU GET THAT MEDAL COURT MOUNTED WITH YOUR FAKE QE2 MEDAL AND YOUR ADM?

The simple truth is that TULL has been caught out and has tried to use the death of a police hero to cover his tracks. This makes him much more than a medal cheat, he has stolen the valour bestowed upon his ‘best mate’. There is no excuse for this.

The fact is that the late Constable Quinn served for 9 years before his death. While 10 years is the minimum period of service to qualify for the award of the NSW Police Medal, all that would be required for his next of kin to request the issue of the medal. If TULL was such a close friend, perhaps he could have done this on behalf of the family, rather than purchasing a replica medal and wearing it himself.

Furthermore, his comment ‘I spent a fair bit of effort with a mate on Sydney radio and the state government a few years ago ensuring the murdering bastard that killed Paul stayed behind bars and was not paroled’ Well that didn't go well did it Mr. TULL, because Pat Horan the killer was paroled from Long Bay in January 2004 and that was more than a few years ago.

TULL States:

The Eagle device is mine. I just put it on Quinny’s medal with a little bit of thread as it looks funny by itself. I actually did get a commendation when I was in the job, but they didn’t give out eagles or ribbons then. So, this is the story of Mark Tull’s Medals. Pity an anonymous site has now relegated itself to political support in the RSL and for dragging some bloody good men online in a negative way, and with absolutely no way of either rebutting or defending themselves. Never claimed to be anything I am not. Just an Ex Ares type that has been doing his bit in the RSL as a worker for 33 years now.

The FACTS:

Again, TULL has demonstrated his complete lack of understanding of medals and his own entitlement. As was clearly explained in our original exposure, the ‘Eagle Device’ forms part of the current NSW Police Honours & Awards system. He has no entitlement to purchase a replica and place it on a medal it is not intended to be worn on. In fact, if TULL does have a Commissioners Commendation awarded prior to the medallic award being created, all he need do is apply to the NSW Police for the issue of the award after supplying evidence that he did in fact receive a Commissioners Commendation. If however, his ‘commendation’ was awarded by anyone less that the Police Commissioner then he has no right to wear any sort of device, as only those commendations awarded by the Commissioner attract a decoration.

TULL may well believe that his exposure was part of some infighting in the RSL but he is wrong. He came to our attention as a medal cheat, plain and simple.

TULL States:

The badges I wear are all mine, and I am entitled to the National Medal, just never asked a service to nominate me, as I didn’t do 15 years in total with any of them. Might try to bump into the NSW Police Commissioner on the ride to this year and ask him if he could do me a little favour and get the Job to nominate me, as you can’t request it yourself. Probably a hanging offence to wear one you are entitled to but haven’t been presented with…

The FACTS:

No Mr TULL, it is not a hanging offence, but if stupidity was, you might have some explaining to do. We are surprised at the flippant manner in which he dismisses the National Medal, because, in all probability he is entitled to this award given the number of organisations he says he has been involved in. Most of these organisations would qualify a member with aggregate service for the National Medal. TULL’s problem is that he just has not bothered to follow it up - nobodies fault but his own. So Mr. TULL, rather than big noting yourself by trying to bump into the Police Commissioner, why not simply ask the Queensland SES, Fire Brigade or Coast Guard to put your nomination through. All you need do is provide evidence of your aggregate service it’s as simple as that.

Mark TULL is a medal cheat who was caught out and fell on his sword by resigning from the position of Secretary of the Southport RSL Sub Branch. However, he continues to enjoy membership of the RSL and retains some position of importance in the sub branch.

Rather than admitting his mistake and removing the offending medals, TULL has chosen like many cornered ‘wanabees' to come out fighting. In doing so he has demonstrated that our initial exposure was completely correct.

Furthermore, by trying to link his current predicament to the death of a police officer, he has gone to a new low.

His defence on his website does him no credit, it is offensive to serving and retired police officers and should be removed immediately

UPDATE GORDON BLAIR

Gordon Blair was allotted space on this website some years ago for his antics at a commemorative ceremony at Gallipoli.

Gordon Blair has again fallen from grace, having been sacked from his profession as a Registered Nurse, here are the details:

Blair g4
Blair g1
Blair g2

Please read our original report and then, taking into account the above reports, make a personal judgement on Gordon Blair.

******

Gordon Blair is a member of the Returned and Services League (RSL) at Hornsby in NSW.  Prior to that he was the Secretary at another RSL.

The above photograph was  taken at ANZAC Cove, Gallipoli.

Blair is wearing:

National Medal for services to the community as a civilian - Entitled

Australian Defence Medal for service in the Australian Defence Force - Entitled

New South WalesStateEmergency Services Long Service Medal - State award not to be worn with Defence Medals. Must be worn on right breast.

Year of the Volunteer Medal - Self purchased Tin medal

Blair exhibits symptoms of the malaise within the RSL.  A recent National RSL strategy is to bestow on any person who has ever served in the Defence Force the title of "Veteran".

For the last One Hundred years a "Veteran" has been a person who has served overseas in a war zone, but now on a whimsical notion of the RSL, Gordon Blair is a "Veteran" and according to his demeanour at Anzac Cove wants everyone to believe that he is one.

Blair is wearing only one medal that relates to Australian Defence service and that is the lowest grade of Australian medals, the Australian Defence Medal (ADM).  It is issued to all Service people who complete four years service.

At ANZAC Cove Gallipoli on Anzac Day 2015  Blair was strutting his stuff pretending to be a be meddled  Australian "Veteran" when in fact he was a strutting Fedora hatted Popinjay without sufficient nous to understand Australian medals protocols.

We are reliably advised by an RSL Executive that Blair was warned about his disregard for medals protocol and he took no notice.

Genuine Veterans (not ersatz RSL Veterans) and ex service men and women should know medals protocols and should also know that if they disrespect traditions and protocols they stand a very good chance of featuring on this website.

We welcome the very silly Mr Gordon Blair to our web site.

 UPDATE - DECEMBER 2020

It must be difficult for a man like Blanch, aka Thompson aka Haig, to remember what name to use. We published Blanch aka Thompson, under the name of "Blanch" in 2017 when he was falsely claiming to be a Lieutenant Colonel, serving in the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR). We have now learned that his real name is James Haig.

Blanch1 2017 04 08

We are adjusting out indexing system, so that when any of his names are entered, his true history will show.

BEWARE. Haig aka Blanch aka Thompson has a history of deception and deceit

******

The worst kind of wannabes are those who claim Special Forces heroic service. They also blame their bad social behaviour on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) resulting from their "operational war service". Jaydon P Blanch also known as A.C Blanch and Jaydon Thompson is such a person.

Blanch1 2017 04 08

Blanch2 2017 04 08

Notice in the left hand photograph Blanch is wearing a Medal Riband Bar on his lapel. The Riband Bar is for the Australian Afghanistan Medal - Operation Slipper. The second photograph is also of Blanch but he has named himself Jay Thompson.

Blanch3 2017 04 08

Blanch4 2017 04 08

We have Statutory Declarations from people who have stated:

"Jaydon said he was in the Australian Forces and:

Was often away overseas for long periods of time on tours. In 2013 he claimed to have completed six tours in Afghanistan and in more recent times claims nine tours

He said he was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) .

He claims he had previously served as a Pilot in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) until his eyesight became bad and moved to SASR as a Sniper, where he stayed for Eighteen years.

He said he suffered badly from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and was shot twice in Afghanistan

Was discharged in 2013 and is waiting for a large payout".

Below is an excerpt from his Facebook page where he uses the name Jay Thompson.

Blanch5 2017 04 08

Notice he tells about his "tours in combat" and he is thinking of his friends who fell along the way.

We phoned Blanch on the 3rd February 2017 and he denied ever having mentioned to any person that he had served in Afghanistan with SASR. He said he served in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) for a very short time during 1993 and 1994. In the above insert he say his father served in Vietnam. He was asked what his father's name was, and he said William HAIG. No person with that name served in Vietnam.

Blanch explained the Facebook entry (shown above) by saying that someone had hacked his account and written the lies about his service history.

He is currently operating a model train business using the name of Jay Thompson.

Blanch6 2017 04 08

We can find no trace of Jaydon Blanch or Jay Thompson ever having served in the Australian Defence Force. He may have served for a very short time in the RAN, but by his own admission never served in the RAAF or the Army with SASR.

Regarding his false claims of expecting a "large payout" for his Army service. He has "conned" people for loans, using the non existent expected "Large Payout" as collateral.

Blanch was advised to complete a Statutory Declaration denying what others have said in Statutory Declarations. He was advised that his Statutory Declaration would be sent to Federal Police with the view of establishing whether he has made a false declaration. He has not responded.

In his house he has an engraved glass plaque from "his unit" SASR, commemorating his Eighteen years of service. His rank engraved on the plaque is "Lt Colonel". We have spoken to the proprietor of the shop that supplied the plaque, and established that the plaque was ordered, purchased and paid for by Jaydon P Blanch.

Like all "PTSD wracked" lying wannabes, Blanch uses his false service to charm vulnerable people and con them into providing him with money.

Blanch is a pathological liar who now joins many of his ilk on our website. We will also report his deceit to NSW State Police. We welcome him to our Hall of Shame where he will stay for many years so that any person typing his name into an Internet Search Engines will be aware of his true nature.
